          1945 年，在日军集中营里饱受疾病、饥饿摧残的戴波乐宣教士，年仅28岁，却已经在新几内亚这个宣教的土地上，失去了丈夫、同工。她一无所有，连岛上的两个白色 十字架墓碑也带不走；站在将要返国的密苏里号军舰甲板上，她跟神说：“我再也不要回到这伤心之地！这地方夺去了我生命中所有最珍爱的。”

          突然，远处传来一群岛民的歌声：“愿主同在直到再相会，主为良师常引导你……”这些人都是因着戴波乐夫妇等人所传讲的福音而跟随了基督。听着这首圣诗，她的眼泪扑簌而下，心里的苦毒解开了，伤痛随着诗歌得了安慰。这时戴波乐心中清楚地知道，将来有一天，照着神的时间，她将重返这海岛，回到这个家中。

         有许多年，在神的家中，每一次聚会结束，弟兄姐妹们总喜欢唱“愿主同在直到再相会”。
原来“再会”（Good-Bye）意思就是“神与你同在”（God Be with You），这是多么甜美的离别祝福！世上有什么比神的同在更美好呢？就算在地上不能再见，将来在天上必要再相会。那时就要永远享受主的同在，众弟兄姐妹也永不再分离。
