这是天父世界
This is My Father’s World

这是天父世界，我要侧耳倾听，
宇宙唱歌，四维响应。同声颂赞主名。
This is my Father’s world, And to my listening ear
All nature sings and round me rings The music of the sphere
‧
这是天父世界，我心满有安宁；
树木花草、苍天碧海，述说天父全能。
This is my Father’s world: I rest me in the thought
Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas – His hand the wonders wrought.

这是天父世界，小鸟展翅飞鸣；
清晨明亮，好花美丽，证明天理精深。
This is my Father’s world, The birds their carols raise,
The morning light, the lily white, Declare their Maker’s praise.

这是天父世界，他爱普及万千，
风吹之草将他表现，天父充满世界。
This is my Father’s world, He shines in all that’s fair;
In the rustling grass I hear Him pass, He speaks to me everywhere.

这是天父世界，求主叫我不忘，
罪恶虽然好像得胜，天父却仍掌管。
This is my Father’s world, O let me ne’er forget
That though the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the Ruler yet.

这是天父世界，我心不必忧伤。
上帝是王，天地同唱，歌声充满万方。
This is my Father’s world: The battle is not done;
Jesus who died shall be satisfied, And earth and heaven be one.

        身材魁梧高大的巴伯克牧师（Maltbie D. Babcock,1858-1901），具有全方位的才干。他能将属灵的真理用鲜活而有效的方式与人沟通；年轻人常被他刚强正直带磁性的个性所吸引；他的音乐才华更是叫人仰慕。

       这首圣诗特别受孩子们的喜爱，生动的词句表达出他对这广阔宇宙的认知和它与万物主宰亲密的关系，并看出他是多么爱好神所创造的大自然！

       他在纽约牧会时，每天早晨必定步行到小镇北面的小山上，远眺方圆15 英里的土地。农庄，果园，还有安大略湖和附近一带的湖光山色都尽收眼底。很多人知道他每次出门散步时，常常说的一句话就是：“I’m going to see my Father’s World” （我要去看看我父的世界了！）
有一位作家曾说，“这首圣诗不只是歌颂天父的自然世界，而是以美丽的诗句表达出对神的感谢，并且完全信靠上帝的旨意和祂公义永恒的审判。巴伯克在这首诗里，写出了神的同在，祂的神性，神的能力和神的旨意”。
